Charles William Rose of Davison Township, age 76, died Sunday April 15, 2018 at McLaren- Lapeer Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday April 19, 2018 at the Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Rev Jake Giesler officiating, burial will follow at Dawn Memorial Gardens. Family will receive visitors from 1-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Charles was born in Boissevain Virginia on January 1, 1942 the son of the late William & Dolly (Hardy) Rose and has resided in the Davison area the last thirty years. He was joined in marriage to Wanda Cranfill on January 4, 1961 in Tazwell Virginia. Answering the call of his country Charles served in the US Marine Corp during the Cuban Crisis. He had been employed by General Motors Buick Motor Division for over thirty nine years retiring April 1, 2005. Surviving is wife Wanda, children; Trena (Brian Snoblen) Gorton, Diane (Greg Ameel) Balarkier, Sherry (Kenneth) Bilsky, Crystal (Brett) Bissonnette, and his five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. He also leaves his sister Patricia Carol (Dale) Underwood, brothers Arnold (Linda) Rose Henry (Jayne) Rose and a host of extended family and friends.
