Charles Donald Brandt of Davison, age 80, died Wednesday August 24, 2016 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Tuesday August 30, 2016 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 404 Dayton St. Davison. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski officiating. Burial Great Lakes National Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Monday at the funeral home. Chuck will lie in state at the church from 10:00 am Tuesday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Charles's memory to St. John Church. Charles was born in Flint Michigan on March 7, 1936 the son of the late Walter & Rachel (McLaughlin) Brandt and has resided in the Flint- Davison area his entire life. He was joined in marriage to Mary Yehle on June 13, 1959 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Flint. Answering the call of his Country Charles served in the US Air Force. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, and Michigan Oil Men's Club. Chuck owned and operated with family Walter E. Brandt & Sons from 1955 until 1995. He leaves his wife of fifty-seven years Mary, daughters Kelli Brandt-Morris and husband Louis, and Patricia Woodrum and husband Duayne. His loving grandchildren; Heather Brandt, Brett Madden, Christopher Madden, Great grandchildren; Vincent, Domonic, Kaleb, Aryiana, Julienne, and Makenzie. Also brother Richard & Nancy Brandt, sister Carol & John Kroll, brother-in-laws: Paul Mannor, and William f. Yehle, and his sister-in-law Josephine Brandt. Chuck is preceded in death by his sister Marilyn Mannor, brother Kenneth Brandt, brother & sister-in-law W. Dennis and Joyce Brandt, and sister-in-law Casimira J. Yehle.
