Calvin Parks Story of Goodrich, age 77, died Monday July 11, 2016 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Friday July 15, 2015 at St. Mark Catholic Church 7296 S. Gale Rd. Goodrich. Fr. Michael Kuchar, Celebrant. Private military services at Great Lakes National Cemetery will be held at a later date. Family will receive visitors from 6-8 pm Thursday, with a parish scripture service at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Calvin will lie in state at the church from 10:00 am Friday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Calvin's memory to St. Marks Memorial Fund or Special Olympics. Calvin was born in Paris Tennessee on June 28, 1939 the son of the late: Zelner & SueNell (Hendricks) Story and has resided in the Goodrich area the last 45 years. He was joined in marriage to Margaret Wuest on August 4, 1962. Answering the call of his country Mr. Story served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. Calvin was a founding member of St. Mark Catholic Church, member of St. Mark Men's Club, St. Joseph Guild, and Church Usher. He spent numerous years as an active member of the Goodrich Boys and Cub Scouts organizations. Mr. Story had been employed by General Motors for many years and had retired from EDS. Surviving is wife Margaret, sons; Jeffrey David & wife Cheryl Story, Brian Michael Story, Matthew Alan Story, his grandchildren; Jacob Story, Benjamin Story, Quinlan Olsen-Story, and a host of other relatives. He is preceded in death by brothers; John, Gerald, and Larry.
