Bonnie Mae VanDusen age 70, passed away Friday April 6, 2012 at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday April 10, 2012 at the Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Pastor Josh Combs officiating, with burial in Bendle Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 12:00 noon Tuesday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Bonnie's memory to her husband Richard.
Bonnie was born in Flint Michigan on December 2, 1941 the daughter of the late; Donald and Ruth (Bowen) Thompson. She was such a caring, thoughtful, and nurturing woman. She loved to knit, crochet, and sew. If she made one thing, she would make a hundred, so everyone could have something. She enjoyed giving her creations away to please her family and friends, and even people she never met. She worked all her life, taking in ironings, as a housekeeper, cook, waitress, bartender, and even worked as a forklift driver in a factory. Her last job she held was a caregiver for the elderly. She really loved to take trips to the casino and play for hours.
She leaves her husband Richard, daughter, Linda (Chris) Moore, Diane Delbridge, Vicki (Jerry) Yott, Gayle (John) Feher, sons, Will (Mary) Watson, Richard (Aimee) VanDusen Jr. Stepchildren, Tom VanDusen, Michael (Jeanette) VanDusen, Susan (Dennis) Andrykovich, and Kathleen (Paul) Derseweh. She leaves her brother Gilbert (Ria) Thompson. Grandchildren: Laurisa, George, Rich, Brandy, Starr, Alisha, Johnna, Desirae, Kimberly, Elizabeth Joy, Cameron, Liam, and Chase. Great grandchildren: Richele, Hayleigh, Ivan, Graycie, and Abigayle. Many step-grandchildren, special friends, Delores Diamond, Nancy Broome, and Allie Lipar, and many more that loved her dearly. She is preceded in death by mother Ruth; grandsons Eric Baker and John David Feher, son-in-law Dennis Delbridge and niece Stacy Thompson. Share your condolences at www.hansenfuneralhome.net
