Betty Joyce Sloan formerly of Davison age 77 died Wednesday October 27, 2010 at Borgess Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday October 30, 2010 at the Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison, Rev. Dale Cross officiating. Burial in Crestwood Memorial Gardens. Family will recieve visitors from 4-8 pm Friday at the funeral home. Betty was born in Hati Missouri May 26, 1933 the daughter of Wilson and Eva (Blakley) Lefler and has resided in the Flint area most of her life. She was joined in marriage to Herbert Sloan June 17, 1957 in Angolia Indiana and he preceded her in death Nov. 18, 1995. Betty attended the River of Life Church and had been employed by Hamandy Grocery for over twenty yesrs. She leaves to cherish her memory daughters: Deborah Byrd-Smith and Mark Page, Sharon Shasteen and husband Mike. Six granchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren. Sisters: Beulah, Dorothy and June. Brothers: Larry and Jerry, and a host of other realtives. She is preceded in death by great grandchildren; Jacob and Faith Streeter.
