On September 18, 2024 Betty Ann Marks of Burton got her wings and rejoined her heavenly family. She was 85 years old and at the time of death she resided at Cottage of Davison. Honoring her wishes her body has been donated to UM Medical School, Ann Arbor. A gathering of family and friends will be held in a celebration of life at the Davison Roadside Park 6160 Davison Rd, Burton, Saturday September 28, 2024 from 1:00 pm-6:00 pm. Those desiring, may make contributions in Betty's memory to the Dementia Foundation or Genesee County Humane Society.

Betty was born in Bad Axe, MI on March 31, 1939 the daughter of the late Robert D. and Helen E. (Freeman) Weatherhead and resided in Burton area for last 35 years, spending her early years in Grand Blanc. She was joined in marriage to Ronald G. Marks on May 14, 1979 and he preceded her in death on September 2, 1995. Betty was member of the Methodist Church in Grand Blanc. She also enjoyed reading, bird watching, cross-stitching, and sewing. Betty was employed by Goodrich Hospital until her retirement.

She is survived by her children: Sandra Shelton, and Ron and wife Rebecca (Baker) Shelton; 12 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter: Julie Ann Woolever, and son Mark Steven Shelton. Please share your condolences at www.hansenfuneralhome.net
