Betsy B. Gerard of Davison age 94 died Wednesday August 10, 2016 at Brookdale of Davison. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday August 19, 2016 at Faith Baptist Church 7306 E. Atherton Rd. Davison. Rev. Shawn Kook officiating. Private burial will be held at Florida National Cemetery at a later date. Family will receive visitors from 4 – 8 pm Thursday August 18 at the funeral home. Mrs. Gerard will lie in state at the church from 10:00 am Friday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Betsy's memory to the Faith Baptist Church. Betsy was born in Shelbyville, Kentucky on June 16, 1922 the daughter of the late; Frank & Ethel (Richardson) Beard. Betsy spent most of her life in the Walled Lake area until retiring to Florida, then returning to Davison the last several years. She was joined in marriage to George Edward Gerard on July 28, 1945 in Chicago and he preceded her in death in May 1997. Answering the call of her country Betsy served in the US Navy during WW II. She attended Faith Baptist Church of Davison. She leaves to cherish her memory son Mark & wife Nancy Gerard, daughters; Barb Durocher, and Sue Tomoshige. She also leaves her loving six grandchildren Rachel, Timothy, Tamae, Deena, Matthew(Bethany),and Nicole(Andrew).
