Betsy Ross Ford of Richfield Township age 94 died Sunday May 25, 2014 at McLaren-Flint. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday May 31, 2014 at the Hansen Funeral Home, Groves Chapel Downtown Davison. Private burial will follow at Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Friday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions in Betsy's memory to the American Diabetes Association. Betsy was born in Clare Michigan on August 22, 1919 the daughter of the late: Theodore & Grace (Cotton) Denker and has resided in the Davison area since 1956. She was joined in marriage to Leon Ford on June 23, 1956 and he preceded her in death on January 8, 2004. Betsy was a member of the Richfield United Methodist Church. She also was a member of the United Methodist Women and TOPS, Betsy was very active with the church have served on the Church Board and held several position within the church organization. She had been employed by General Motors AC Spark Plug Division until her retirement in May 1972. Surviving is son: Claude & Kathryn Vennie, grandchildren: Michael Vennie, Cheryl Vennie, and Lisa (Pete) Stalker. Her Great grandchildren: Michael (Nicole) Vennie, Matthew (Angela) Vennie, Tiffany Vennie, David Vennie, Daniel Vennie, Ashley (Ryan) Hempton, and David Stalker, Along with five great great grandchildren and a host of other relatives.
