Bernard Schall of Genesee Township, age 68, died Wednesday August 5, 2026 at Hurley Medical Center. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm Wednesday August 12, 2026 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison, with Rev. Jerry Sielagoski officiating. Family will receive visitors from 12:00 noon until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Bernard’s memory to his family.

Bernard was born in Brown City Michigan the son of the late: Conrad and Marie (Hoffman) Schall and had resided in Davison for many years, and relocating to Genesee Township the last three years. He was joined in marriage to Marilou LaBlanc on October 19, 1983. Bernard enjoyed the outdoors, especially when he was hunting or fishing. He was an avid Detroit Tiger fan, and loved watching his grandchildren play baseball. In his quite time, Bernard’s passion was taking care of his aquariums and watching the aquatic life. Bernard had been employed by Colony’s Quality Meats of Grand Blanc until his retirement.

He is survived by wife Marilou, Children: Theresa Dunn, and Michael “Mike” (Bobbilynn) Dunn. His loving grandchildren: Trevor (Nicole) Carbary, Josh (Meagan) Cote’, Olivia Robinson, Gavin Dunn, Aaden Dunn, Rowan Dunn, Collin Dunn, Joey Dunn, Layla Dunn, and five great grandchildren. He also leaves his siblings: Helen Schall, Sue (Jerry) Sielagoski, Kitty (John) Serra, Lloyd (Andrea) Schall, and a host of extended family and friends .He is preceded in death by son Joseph Dunn, and siblings; Pat, Johnny, Steve, Dick, Bob, and Butch.
