WINTHER, Barbara Jacqueline, of Davison age 57 died Thursday October 8, 2009 at her residence. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday October 12, 2009 at the Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Rev. Todd I. Frusti officiating. Burial in Davison Cemetery. The family is requesting that contribution in Barbara's memory be made to University of Michigan Cancer Center or the Susan G. Kolman Foundation. The family will receive from 6-8pm Saturday and 1-4 and 6-8pm Sunday. Barbara was born in Detroit, Michigan January 8, 1952 the daughter of Richard and Barbara (Robbinson) Franz and resided in the Davison area last 28 year. Barbara was joined in married to Gordon Winther June 22, 1974. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Barbara was employed by Swartz Creek Community School for thirty years retiring in 2009 and also several years with the Bentley Schools System. Surviving: husband Gordon, Daughters: Erin Leipold, Laura Winther and husband Rob MacInnis; Son: Daniel Winther; grandchildren: Sierra Leipold and Brady Winther-MacInnis; Mother; Barbara Franz, Sisters: Deborah Herman, Maureen Franz and Valerie (Ralph) Ball; Brother: Richard (Sue) Franz; and a host of other relatives. She preceded in death by her Father Richard Franz 1980.
