Barbara Joyce Burks of flint, age 61, died Saturday June 13, 2020 at Hurley Medical Center. A private family funeral will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday June 18, 2020 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Rev. Sarah LaRose-Nettell is officiating, with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive visitors from 12:00 noon till 4:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Due to CDC Guidelines social distancing and limited gathering at one time is requested, the family understands those who may or may not want to join them and they respect their decisions.

Barbara was born in Loveland Ohio on September 15, 1958 the daughter of J.P. and Christeen (Reeves) Burks and has resided in the Flint area most of her life. Barbara greatest love was her grandchildren which she enjoyed doing puzzles and games. She enjoyed cartoon characters; Tasmanian Devil and Looney Tunes, and was a avid Detroit Tiger Fan. She also loved animals and especially her pets; Charlie and Bella Boo.

Surviving is daughter Alicia & husband Andrew Miller, grandchildren: Destiny, Kadence, and Adalynn. Also surviving is mother Christeen Burks, and siblings; Jeanette Burks, Kathy Erwin, Dennis Burks, Benny Burks, Rebecca Clint, and a host of extended family and friends.
