Arthur Clayton Rogers Jr. formerly of Flint age 81 passed away Thursday June 30, 2011 at his residence in Rincon Georgia. Funeral service will be held at 11:00am Saturday July 9, 2011 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison. Fr. Robert Copeland officiating. Burial at New Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 6-8pm Friday at the funeral home. Arthur was born in Flint, Michigan on September 19, 1929 the son of the late Arthur and Grace (Recknall) Rogers and resided in the Flint area most of his life. He was joined in marriage to Betty Maguire and she proced in death in Sept. 6, 2006. Arthur was a graduate of All Saints Catholic High. Answering the call of his country Arthur served in WWII in the US Army. He leaves to cherish his memory children: Mike Rogers, Mark Rogers and Debbie & husband David Bradley; grandchildren: Daniel& wife Teri Bradley, Christina & husband Christopher Gray, Jamie Rogers, and Michael & wife Mary Rogers; 10 great grandchildren; sister: Dorothy Spopta and a host of others relatives.
