Pepper, Arlene B of Sears Michigan age 94 died Monday April 19, 2010 at Pinewood Adult Foster Care, Lapeer Michigan. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 am Friday April 23, 2010 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 404 Dayton St. Davison. Fr. Andrew Czajkowski officiating, followed by burial in Danby Cemetery, Mulliken Michigan at 4:30 pm. Family will receive visitors from 12:00 noon until 8: 00 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home. A parish rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm Thursday evening. Mrs. Pepper will lie in state at the church from 10:30 am Friday until time of services. Those desiring may make contribution in Arlene's memory to St. John Church, Hometown Home Health & Hospice,Kidney Foundation or the charity of your choice. Arlene was born in Mulliken Michigan May 28, 1915 and has resided in the Sears area since the 1960's. She was joined in marriage to Melbourne Pepper April 24, 1956. Arlene with her husband owned and operated the Pepper's Sinclair Gas and Service Station in Addison for many years. She leaves to cherish her memory husband Melbourne "Mel" children; Joe and wife Mildred Sumner, Jane and husband Lewis Franta, and Joseph Pepper, thirty four grandchildren, forty six great grandchildren and eighteen great great grandchildren, Brother Tom and wife Gloria Gorman, and a host of other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by father Jesse c. King, mother Garnett L (Noble) Gorman, and step father Charles Gorman, daughter; Colleen (Franta) Brody, four grandchildren, brother and sister in law; Dan and Tillie Gorman, sister and brother in law, Harriett and Ralph Sites.
