Alvin Burton Hawley of the Flushing area, age 88 died Sunday January 20, 2013 at Genesys Hospice Care Center, Goodrich. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. Alvin was born in Pine Run, Michigan January 22, 1924 the son of the late: Lawson & Alice (Bone) Hawley and had resided in the Flushing area most of his life. He was joined in marriage to Junella Nerreter on March 22, 1943 and she preceded him in death September 15, 2011. Answering the call of his country Alvin served in the US Army during WW II. He was a member of Peace Presbyterian Church. Surviving are daughter Gloria & Keith Penney, sons Delvin & Rita Hawley, and Philip & Gail Hawley. Four grandchidren and four great grandchildren.
