IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Allen A.
Demott
December 5, 1952 – May 4, 2020
Allen Addison DeMott of Davison, Michigan and Fort Myers Florida, age 67, ended his heroic battle against cancer on May 4, 2020 at his home in Fort Myers, Florida with his beloved wife, Bobbie Jean DeMott, and his niece, Cheryl Weston at his side lovingly caring for him. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Those desiring may make contributions in Al's memory to the Bone Marrow Foundation, http://www.bonemarrow.org
Al was the best. He was larger than life. He was always there for his friends and family with boundless love and generosity. He was a guy you could always count on. He was also one of the most talented people you'd ever meet. In baseball parlance, he was a "five–tool player." He could do anything and do it well. He lived life to the fullest, and he won far more than he lost. Al was the "tax guy" to thousands of clients since the 1970s at Al DeMott Tax Service, a member of the Davison Elks Club for over 30 years, a softball player for Trinity Lutheran Church in Davison, an avid and accomplished golfer, and lifelong Detroit Tiger fan.
To his beloved wife:
"Now, we went walking in the rain,
Talking about the pain that from the world we hid
Now there ain't nobody, nowhere, nohow
Gonna ever understand me the way you did
Maybe you'll be out there on that road somewhere
In some bus or train traveling along
In some motel room there'll be a radio playing
And you'll hear me sing this song
Well, if you do, you'll know I'm thinking of you
And all the miles in between
And I'm just calling you one last time
Not to change your mind, but just to say I miss you, baby
Good luck, goodbye, Bobby Jean"
