Ailene May Gonyea of Davison age 92, died Tuesday May 8, 2018 at Hamilton's Assisted Living. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday May 11, 2018 at Calvert Park Community Church 2341 N. Genesee Rd. Burton. Pastor Arlyn R. Willett officiating. Private burial will follow at Davison Cemetery. Family will receive visitors from 6-8 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home. Ailene will lie in state at the church on Friday from 10:00 am until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Ailene's memory to the Church Memorial Fund. She was born in Flint Michigan on October 29, 1925 the daughter of the late Myron R. and Leota B. (Tolles) Bearup and had resided in the area her entire life. She was joined in marriage to Bernard E. Gonyea on July 6, 1946 and he preceded her in death on April 1, 2001. Ailene was a great lover of children having operated a daycare from her home in the early years, and later was involved with the Michigan Children Aid Society as a foster mother for new born children. She was a member of Calvert Park Community Church of God, as a active member she was a church greeter, and helped in numerous projects of the church. Surviving is son Charles and wife Judy Gonyea, daughter; Donna and husband David Randolph, and Renee' and husband Jerry Eavy. She also leaves her six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren four great great grandchildren and one great great great granddaughter. She is preceded in death by brothers Donald Bearup , Dale Bearup, and twin sister Arlene Bearup and Phyllis Mikesell. Please share your condolences at www.hansenfuneralhome.net
